Jamaica for Aberdeen Youth Festival

Jamaica Youth Theatre (JYT) has been invited to represent Jamaica at the prestigious Aberdeen International Youth Festival 2017- a Festival of Youth Arts, and one of Scotland's major international cultural events. Twelve (12) members of JYT will travel to Scotland perform at the upcoming global festival scheduled for July 28 through August 5.
At AIYF17, Jamaica Youth Theatre will present a devised theatre piece Jamaica Drum directed by Danar Royal which chronicles the movement of the drum through the history of Jamaica.

Fundraising efforts to assist members cover accommodation expenses while in Scotland for 10 days.
