James G. Hayes Sr.-- father, husband, and Local 94 building engineer Union Member-- passed away suddenly at age 47.
His eldest daughter, Valentina, will be graduating from FIT this coming May with an Associate's Degree in Illustration. After graduation, she will continue on with her education and pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing at City College of Technology.
His son, James Jr., is currently a sophomore enrolled in a specialized program in Information Technology at James Madison H.S. He hopes to attain a college degree in engineering and to work in a field similar to his father's.
His youngest daughter, Melody, is a seventh grader and an avid dancer. She attends Mark Twain Middle School, a highly competitive school which specializes in the Performing Arts. Her goal is to focus her education on dance and to follow her dreams to become a professional dancer.
Given the circumstances of his sudden departure, we are asking for some assistance funding a college savings account for his two younger children in lieu of flowers. The asking amount will cover one about one year of state college tuition and commuter fees for each of his younger children, James and Melody.
We thank you for any help you can give. Thank you for your support and for taking the time to read this.
