James Hammond has been selected to join the Canadian Under 19 Rugby team on its upcoming tournament in San Diego.
Growing up in Vryheid, South Africa James developed a passion for Rugby at a very young age. This is a great honour and something James has worked hard for ever since he started playing rugby. Along with the two try outs he had to attend, his air fare and cost for the tournament he is faced with $4,800 in expences. Anyone who has played any rugby, hockey or soccer with James knows he plays with a great deal of heart. He is looking forward to carrying that spirit into his first ever international competition. They will also know that rugby has always been his "first love" and any support you can offer him will be greatly appreciated.
Unfortuantly, Rugby Canada does not have the financing to support up and coming athletes. It is for this reason we reach out to you to give us a helping hand in fufilling James` dreams of one day playing professionally overseas.
