We are starting this to help a wonderful family that lost their 21-year-old son to gun violence. Jamie lost his life at work on 12-17-17 due to the careless and mindless acts of a co-worker.  The story is best told from the words of this mother.

                              The word of his mother
At this time I want everyone to know I appreciate ur love and support. Today a coworker of my son became verbally aggressive with a female co-worker, my son Jamie aka Punchy Drippin as the shift team leader intervened and told him that's not how men should talk to a female. The guy became confrontational with Jamie, then walked to his car pulled out a gun and began shooting at Jamie, then turned the gun on the female co-worker who was thankfully unharmed. My son was shot in the back and the bullet went into the main vessel leading to his heart. He made it into the OR but his heart stopped on the operating room table, the surgeon said they tried all they could do but could not restart his heart. I was told His last words were that he did not want to die. I wish I could have been there, to make him feel safe. I wish they could have put me to sleep and give him my heart so he could live. This man who did this took the most wonderful human being away from me and stole his life away. He took his million dollar light up the whole city smile away. Jamie was loved by so many. He was my first true love, my firstborn. I love u all and thank u all for the love u have for my son and all ur prayers and support. My heart is completely broken. We're broken. He was a good boy, an amazing person, and young man.

We would like to collect enough money to help with burial expenses.Jamie was a wonderful, sweet young man that could light up a room this his smile. He was a hard worker that loved his mother, father, brothers, and friends.Nothing can ease the pain of a loss of a child but I hope we can find it in our hearts to help ease this financial burden.
