The Jamie Lazaroff Accessibility Project
Jamie is an individual with disabilities who advocates for the rights of others to be included in full citizenship within Connecticut life.
Jamie is a Self Advocate who is currently working for The Arc Quinebaug Valley in Danielson, CT
Jamie, being aware of the drastic cuts to families with children and adults with disabilities, as well as private agencies who support these same individuals, is now asking for support to help him complete an accessibility project.
This is an opportunity for Jamie, through personal example, to teach individuals and their families that part of Advocacy is to know when TO ASK FOR HELP.
This Accessibility project will help Jamie to be as independent as possible for as long as possible.
At this time, due to his past strokes, Jamie is in need of an accessible bathroom in his apartment. (The cost of this project is $8,500.00). Your support is greatly appreciated as we work with Jamie in achieving greater personal independence.
