Janet Wright Memorial Scholarship

Janet Wright was a remarkable woman. She was our classmate, our leader and our friend. She had a way of always making everyone feel welcome and she was often the glue that held our group together as we grew up and grew old. When we started to drift in our own directions, she was sure to pull us back together and remind us that friendships are precious and cannot be taken for granted.

Janet was  a fighter.  She battled her illness longer than I think any of her doctors thought she could but they don't  know Janet like we do.  Her perseverance and courage  was to be admired.  She fought  with grace, dignity and through it all continued to put others first. 

As her life long friends, we are struggling now with the loss of Janet.  Though she is gone from this earth, she is now at peace and I believe will continue to watch over us as she always has. 

As a tribute to Janet, her Class of '85 classmates are looking to raise funds to honor 2 seniors of Whitman Hanson Regional High School Class of 2019  with college scholarships in Janet's name. Many of us feel helpless and sad by the loss of our friend. This is just a small token to show how much we love Janet and support all of her family and friends.
