Bring Jarrod Bannister Home
Donation protected
The sudden passing of Jarrod has come as a massive shock to the family- we're still in disbelief. Jarrod lived life to the fullest. It was a life of promise cut far too short. Jarrod achieved so much in the time that he had. His family is proud of everything he has achieved.
Jarrod's family is flying to the Netherlands to bring his body and belongings back home to Australia; to be together in a place Jarrod loved, witness what he had begun to build, and meet the friends and clients he made an impression on while he was there.
Jarrod won the Gold medal in Javelin at 2010 Commonwealth Games and represented Australia in Javelin at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. His athletic career took him all around the world and he made friends wherever he went with his vivacious and inviting personality.
Jarrod still holds the Australian javelin record at 89.02m thrown in 2008 at the National Titles held in Brisbane.
Nothing will ease the pain Jarrod's close relatives are feeling at this difficult time so if you want to know how you can help, please donate whatever amount of money you can spare to ease the cost of repatriation, funeral and flights back home to Townsville as they confront the terrible reality of burying their son and brother well before his time.
The family has also started a private bank account if you wish to donate to the family direct so they can receive 100% of your generous donation. Please leave your full name as a reference to the following bank account.

He will be forever in our thoughts and he will be sorely missed by our family.
