Help me fulfil my dream to represent Edmonton, Alberta and Canada as a Junior Team Canada (JTC) Ambassador to China this August. The mission is poised to create greater trade and investment links between Canada and China while providing JTC Ambassadors with hands-on experience in international business. Global Visions and the Canadian Consulates are facilitating connections in Chongqing, Chengdu and Guangzhou. As the ambassador for my region, I count the Edmonton Economic Development, University of Alberta, NAIT, Novamen, Clark Builders, and the Confucius Institute among my partners. But I still need to raise $1500 to make my dream a reality. Will you assist?
A little bit about me: I am a 17 year old student currently based in Edmonton, Alberta at Old Scona Academic. I hope to become an entrepreneur someday and am passionate about empowering women in a field in which they are oft under-represented and disempowered.
At school, I am President of Graduation Council and Young Blood (the youth division of Canadian Blood Services), an executive mentor of the Speech and Debate 15 course, a senior council member of World Issues Club, and a member of Students Union. Outside of my school, I both work and volunteer as a piano teacher as well as volunteer to teach students speech and debate in junior highs around the city. I was the youngest student to ever be awarded Student of the Year at The Speech Studio, and also the youngest to be offered a teaching position, effective this September. I dream of being able to use these skills to help people and my country.
At significant levels, sponsorships are value-added transactions. I will directly communicate with you to fulfil your individual mandates in China as well as upon my return. This includes exploratory market research, representation and distribution of literature in large-scale networking sessions with government, business, and community leaders, publicity in media outlets upon my return, and anything else you can think of.
Of course, in addition to reaping benefits for your own company, any contribution helps make this important stepping stone for my future as a female entrepreneur a reality, and for that, I sincerely thank you.
