Jeff Hecker Memorial Search for Intelligent Life

One thing we all remember about Jeff was his endless, bemused, and often failed search for intelligence around him. And though here on earth he was pretty sure he was surrounded by clowns and jokers, he held out hope for beyond our planet. At the LA Convention in 2000, in our shiny news studio outfitted with brand new iMacs and big screens, Jeff saw to it that the SETI @ Home screen saver was installed on all of them so that no amount of processing power went unused. What more appropriate way to then honor Jeff's memory than to make a donation to SETI (and put the screen saver on your computer !)

Why a goal of $62? Because Jeff would have been 62 on February 22, 2019. So why not? The amount doesn't really matter, and Jeff would think this goal amount was funny. We'll see what we raise, and ANY amount will be better than zero, and will provide a meaningful little nudge to assist in this epic search. If we reach the goal, we'll raise it. Whatever is raised goes DIRECTLY to SETI.
