Jeff Edwards, a Grant County Sheriff’s Deputy, was involved in an accident while on vacation in Mexico, February 25th, 2015. Jeff was thrown by a wave to the ocean floor and broke his C7 vertebrae in his neck. As a result, he has no movement below his chest.

At the time of his accident, Jeff was in his 13th year with the Grant County Sheriff’s Department, in Minnesota, working as a Deputy, and in his 8th year as part of the Special Response Team (SWAT). He is also very active in the community, volunteering with the Herman Fire & Rescue since 2009. Jeff has also served our country in the Army and in the National Guard.
Jeff currently resides in Herman with his girlfriend, Dani, and two young children, Briona and Jakob. For up dates on Jeff, visit his Caring Bridge website: www.caringbridge.com/jeffedwards2

What is the money going to be used for?

I, Jackie, have a brother who is paralyzed and also in a wheel chair. He has an Action Trackchair and I have seen how much it has changed and improved his life. It's an all terrain wheelchair that is made in Minnesota, that I would love for Jeff to have.

After all the pain of recovering and the stress of medical bills, while raising a family, I wanted something for Jeff to look forward to. He won't be confined to mostly concrete for the rest of his life. He would be able to go on gravel, rocky terrain, grass, mud, sand, shallow water and up and down hills with no effort or assistance! He could go camping, hunting, hiking…basically anywhere a regular wheel chair can’t go! 100%* of the donations go towards the purchase of an Action Trackchair.
