Jeni's Emergency Car Repairs!

Hi, I'm Jeni. This is my Jeep, Silver Fang (don't ask). Pictured with us are our sidekicks Ting Le (the pretty one) and Jazz (the puppy one). Our sidekicks are in fabulous health currently, but Silver is currently at the car doctor.

See, last week the Jeep's engine started acting up, stalling out and making assorted unhappy noises. Then the check engine light went a liiiiiiiitle crazy and he became undrivable.

Turns out, the fuel injector control module has gone bad and so not all of Silver Fang's engine cylinders were firing in the right order, firing at all or recieving enough fuel (depending on the moment.)

"Oh, that sounds expensive," I hear you saying.

Well, it's not as bad as it could be. A remanufactured control module is only (ha!) $560+tax+labor. Brand new would have been $950+tax+labor. Obviously, I chose the less expensive option here, but it's still more than I can afford out of pocket because I am only able to work part time. The part is on order, and should be here on Friday.

So, I have a week to gather up about $700 dollars, and I'm padding the fundraiser with an extra $50 just in case.

I would really, really appreciate any help that anyone can give me.
