Get Jen Back to Standing Rock

Donation protected
I work on rivers and with river communities around the world as a professional geographer. Last month, I put together an amazing team of colleagues from multiple disciplilnes to examine the water security of the Missouri River, especially concerning current Dakota Access Pipeline development threats to the Native American Tribes in North and South Dakota. My team has built a series of maps and authored a research report on DAPL threats human health, natural resources, and river ecosystems. We'd like to take this research back to the Tribes.

This fundraiser will support my return trip to Standing Rock, North Dakota to share our findings, maps, and report with the Native American Tribal Leadership in North and South Dakota. The money will go toward the plane ticket, rental car, lodging, and food. Any money I do not use I will donate to the water protector camps.

Given the recent cultural violations and miscommunications at Standing Rock Reservation related to water protectors and the oil pipeline proposed to cross the Missouri River, we believe this work is timely and is crucial as a communication tool.

Your contributions to our efforts helps us make this dream a reality. Thank you. To see the work I do check out my website under projects.
