Full house: New Jersey mom gives birth to rare set of quintuplets 

The mother of a six year old daughter, Abla Boutaba, gave birth to quintuplets on January 6, 2019. The 5 babies were delivered at 27.5 weeks via C-section and need to be cared for in the hospital until March or April. Shocked by this extremely irregular occurrence, Salim Mostefaoui, the father and husband of Abla are scrambling to find a place that they cannot afford. With Abla not working and Salim making a slim $15/hr, the couple currently resides in a one bedroom apartment, barely enough for themselves.

Once the babies no longer need to be cared for at the hospital, the Mostefaoui family will most definitely not able to provide for their children provided their current situation.  Moreover, driving with the five new additions to the family is impossible as Salim only has a truck he uses for his daily job.

There is absolutely no space in the apartment for five additional infants and the Mostefaouis are feeling this immense pressure as these infants after all, are children of their own. This rare occasion of conceiving quintuplets is the first of its kind in Jersey City, NJ. In the United States, according to ‘multiplesofamerica.org,’ a study released in 2017 stated that there were a mere 24 quintuplets nationwide.   With this in mind, it would be impossible for this couple to fathom birthing even twins. Now a reality, we are asking on the Mostefaouis behalf that the kind hearted people help raise money for this golden event. The couple are praying for a 3 Bedroom apartment and a used van for the babies’ appointments; rental expenses ($2000/month). They are expecting 80 diapers and 40 bottles of formula a day.
