Honoring Jessica – Support for Her Children and Celebration

Hi everyone!! My name is James Biggers (Owen). Many of you knew Jessica as a friend, some of you know her as a coworker, a lot of y’all are family, or just some of you just know her as someone who could light up a room. To me, she was my bonus mom. Technically, I’m her stepson — she had a child with my dad, and that child is my younger sister, Riley. Jessica met me when I was just two years old, so truthfully, I don’t have a single memory of life without her in it. She helped raise me, supported me, and shaped so much of who I am. Jessica passed away on Saturday night, July 12th, after a long and difficult week in the hospital. She was surrounded by love in her final moments — just as she had surrounded all of us with love every day of her life. Jessica leaves behind two amazing children: Riley, her daughter, who turns 17 next week on July 22 and will be graduating high school this upcoming school year, and Kannon, her 12-year-old son, who is entering his teenage years without his mom. So many people have reached out asking how they can help. I’ve created this GoFundMe to help cover the costs of Jessica’s memorial and celebration of life. Any remaining funds will go directly to Riley and Kannon to support their futures — whether that’s school, daily needs, or just giving them some stability during an incredibly hard time. Jessica’s memorial and celebration of life will take place on Saturday, July 19 at the Lake Springfield Beach House.    Memorial Service: 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Semi-Formal, reflection & slideshow)   ☀️ Celebration of Life: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Beachwear encouraged, potluck, music & memories) Jessica gave everything she had to others. She was strong, loud in the best way, hilarious, protective, and full of life. We want to honor her in a way that reflects that — a celebration filled with laughter, love, and light, just like she would’ve wanted.
