2016 Basement Tapes Benefit Concert
Tax deductible
Dear frends,
What an exciting year 2016 is destined to be for the Historic Duluth Armory!
The Armory Arts & Music Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission "to preserve the Duluth Armory and its historic value to American culture and the arts, while encouraging its reuse, placing emphasis on arts and education."
The Duluth Armory stands as one of Duluth’s most historic and influential buildings. Preserving and restoring the Duluth Armory represents an incredible opportunity for the people and organizations of Duluth to come together in a project that will serve as a model for the country.
Through this campaign we are seeking support to cover concert production costs associated with a May 28, 2016 Basement Tapes – Great White Wonder Benefit Concert. This event will feature 14 local and regional musicians performing live on stage at the historic Sacred Heart Music Center - all to benefit program activities.
Your support will ensure that we secure the funds necessary to cover the costs of paying for artistic talent and fully producing this event. This will allow us to use the proceeds from the benefit concert to fund our program activities, including our state of the art youth Music Resource Center Program - Duluth (MRC).
The MRC provides teens the opportunity to find a positive, creative outlet through music education, performance and recording. The MRC teaches young people to appreciate music and help them develop the life skills that are integrated into arts education. The Center is open to all 6th – 12th grade youth in Duluth but will make specific outreach efforts to children who are homeless and financially disadvantaged.
Learn about this program from the short video clip below.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 by Friday, April 1st.
Please make your tax-deductible contribution today to support this wonderful program. Remember, every gift is important - so consider donating $25, $50, $100 or $1,000 or more to help us achieve our goal.
Thanks for your support!
