Jewel Honga For Miss Indian World

Donation protected
Gamyu! My name is Jewel Diamond Honga, I am of the Tobacco Clan (Navajo) born for the Pine Springs Band (Hualapai) of Mohawk Canyon. According to government standards, I am an enrolled member of the Hualapai Tribe. The Hualapai Reservation is located in Northwest Arizona. Hualapai (Wal-Ah-Pie) translates to “People of the Tall Pines”, as our reservation is rich with ponderosa pine, as well as bordering 108 miles of the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River.

Currently, I am the 2015-2016 Miss Hualapai. I earned two undergraduate degrees in Management and Marketing from The W.A. Franke College of Business at Northern Arizona University. I am excited and proud to announce that I am vying for the 2016 Miss Indian World Pageant at the Gathering of Nations Powwow in Albuquerque, New Mexico!

As I take steps on this journey I need the support of those who believe in me, I need to hear words of encouragement for the times I doubt myself, as any young woman knows competing in any pageant.  As I compete upon a world stage, I carry my grandmothers' strength, the honor of my people, and the confidence of those who believe in me and hopefully your support as well.

This GoFundMe campaign is to assist me with expected and unexpected expenses of getting to the Miss Indian World Pageant and staying for the entire week. Any contribution to my campaign is deeply appreciated and will not go unnoticed. Mah Hankyu (thank you) for taking the time to read my campaign and for your consideration to donate. Please contact me at through GoFund Me or via Facebook if you have any questions.

Mah Hankyu!
