Jim Cheek's Memorial Fund

Jim Cheek was a student and football player at Centennial High School. He was killed in a tragic accident on Nov 22nd. Jim is the son of Ward and Lea Cheek and has a sister Claire that attends Mississippi State.
Principal Leigh Webb said that the Cheek family was deeply intertwined into the community, and that he would be missed.
“Jim was a lover of life and brought so much joy to everyone who knew him,” Webb said. “He played baseball most of his life and has played with/against so many students across Williamson County. He was a member of the Centennial High baseball team. And this year, his senior year, went out for the football team. There you could see his love of sports and competition continue to grow. His coaches were sharing this morning that he had a smile on his face every day at practice and worked hard to get on the field to win for his school and teammates. Jim’s entire family is active in our school family. His mom Lea is a long-time parent volunteer and spent all of the past weekend helping us lead the Centennial Holiday Show. Jim’s sister is a student at Mississippi State and is a former CHS Cheerleader.”
This fund has been set up to assist his family in covering the expenses of accident and funeral. All funds will be given to his family to cover all costs.
What an opportunity to show his family how much he was loved.
Details regarding the fund:
Shawnna Simpson and Lori Katina are managing the go fund me account. We are parents at Centennial High School and are working with the school administration. All funds will go directly into a bank account at Pinnacle bank in the name of Ward Cheek. The funds will cover the expenses of the funeral, and expenses incurred with the accident. Any money raised over the goal will go directly to the family.
Thank you for your support of the Cheek family. We want them to know how much they are loved in this community and how much Jim will be missed.
