As most of you know, James Steven Morrison passed away on May 24, 2016 leaving behind his wife and son.
Jim, or "Jimmiemo" as he was known to his friends, left a bright cheerful impact on many of the people who came into his life. He was a wonderful, charming and kind human being.
But what many of you may not know is that he was tormented with an addiction to alcohol. In the end, this addiction took him from us. It took hold of him in the second half of his life and left him incapable to support his wife and son.
As a testament to Jim's memory, we have created this GoFundMe account to support Jim's son as he pursues his dream of giving a voice to the voiceless through the written word and the photographic lens.
The goal of this GoFundMe is to help Jim's son, John, pay down the student debt he accumulated to attend university. The total debt he was forced to take out was $61, 144.21. It's a large amount, and we are hoping to at least get rid of some of this burden.
John followed in his Dad's footsteps graduating St. Ignatius College Prep in 2010. John was lucky enough to be accepted to Boston College where he graduated four years later in 2014 with a degree in economics and theological ethics.
