Jim was diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer one year ago. After being diagnosed in Arkansas, he moved with his family to Florida to be with his sick dad.
His current chemo treatments are $13,500 a piece (6 of them needed) and he does not have insurance to cover it. It's out of pocket and he needs our help immediately. Jimmy has been unable to work since his treatments started.
Jerry Demeo & I are reaching out via GoFundMe to any and all lacrosse players, family & friends, and strangers that watched Jim play on 3 USA Teams, and now has the biggest fight of his life.
New NEWS - 9/22/17:
After having appealed to his State Senator, we have learned that Jimmy's health insurance will be reinstated. While it will not cover past medical treatments which he still owes , it will pick up most of his future treatments.
Jimmy has been disabled from working for more than a year & has no work income. He has 3 children & a wife & lives in Naples Florida. While the medical expenses in the future appear to be covered the family expenses of rent, food , fuel, & the necessities of like are not.
We, thus, continue to urge you to support Jimmy & his family at this time of need. Thank you for anything you can do.
