Trip to 2017 Lacrosse World Cup

Hi, I am Jiyoung Yun, a freshman at the University of California, San Diego. I am currently playing lacrosse for the UCSD Women’s lacrosse team. This summer, I have been nominated to represent the Korean National Lacrosse Team to compete at the 2017 Women’s Lacrosse World Cup in Guilford, England starting July 12th . Prior to the World Cup, our team will be playing in the 2017 Asian Pacific Lacrosse Tournament (ASPAC) held in Jeju, Korea. I will be flying to Korea during this summer break to play in the ASPAC tournament and after the tournament, I will travel to England to play in the World Cup.

Participating for the National team is a great honor for me and I am very excited to represent not only my country, but also my college and my UCSD women’s lacrosse team. I would like to thank my teammates for always supporting me as well as my parents for their hard work. However, for me to play in both competitions, I need your help! The lacrosse community in Korea is very small, and there is no funding to cover the expenses. In fact, I have to pay my dues for both ASPAC tournament and the World Cup. I will need to pay for airfares, lodging, uniforms, and the entry fee. Any donations will be extremely helpful, even as little as $5! It would also be appreciated if you can share this post with our friends and families!
