Mi nombre es Guadalupe, soy la mamá de José. Me gustaría compartir nuestra historia. José es ️Un niño de 5 años de edad, también tiene otros 3 hermanos, Jonathan, que de 3 años, Jocelyn 8 años, y Jayleen casi 2 meses. El 18 de enero, el año 2016, José fue diagnosticado con la etapa 4 del neuroblastoma. Antes de que mi hijo fuera diagnosticado con este tipo de cáncer ️El era un niño muy saludable. Este año fue su primer año en la escuela, pero tuvo que dejar de ir debido a las circunstancias. Era muy activo, le encanta correr y jugar con todos sus primos y amigos. Desafortunadamente este tipo de cáncer hizo su cambio de vida completo. Pasó de hacer todo lo que amaba hacer hasta casi no poder caminar.
My name is Guadalupe, I am Josés'mom. I would like to share our story. José is 5 years old, he also has 3 other sibilings. Jonathan who's 3yrs, Jocelyn 8yrs, and Jayleen almost 2 months. In January 18th, 2016 José was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma. Before my son was diagnosed with this cancer he was a very healthy kid. This year was his first year in school, but had to stop going due to his health. He was very active, he loves running and playing with all his cousins and friends. Unfortunately this cancer made his life change completley. He went from doing everything he loved doing to hardly being able to walk.
He is currently in the hospital receving his secound cycle of chemo, which consists of a 6 days and 5 night stay at the hospital. The full treatment plan consists of chemotherapy, radiation, surgery to remove the tumor on this left kidney, stem cell transplant (the transplant will be a 30 day stay at the hospital) along with all of the maintnance medication he will be taking afterwards. The treament plan is scheduled to last 3 1/2 years. We have been, and will continue to take many trips from Salem to Portland.
As you can see our story is not easy. Because of all the appointments and treatments, I won't be able to work. This cuts down our family's income to the bone.
Today I would like to ask for your help, our insurance will cover most of the treatments and medicines, but there are some medications that I will have to pay for. Anything will help us and please know that all of the funds will be used for José and all of his needs. I really want to thank everyone for all of your support and ask for your prayers for my family, especially my son. This is a hard situation, but I know I will see the light at the end of the tunnel.
