At just 23 and 20 years old, Samantha and Philip Jr. Thomason are experiencing a trauma no one should have to experience.
An explosion in the Thomason home in Mundelein IL, has taken the life of their 19 year old brother Patrick who was in the garage at the time of the explosion, their father, Phil Sr, a 27 year union painter and 20+ year resident of Mundelein who was outside the home at the time of the blast, is fighting for his life. He has a hematoma on the brain, and the doctors are guarded with his prognosis .
The next few weeks and months will be extremely difficult for this family. There is a funeral to plan for Pat, bills to be paid, not to mention, they remain by their father’s side as he fights for his life.
What can you do? You can start with a prayer, a good wish, hugging your loved ones, and if you can, contributing whatever amount you can to help Samanatha, Phillip Jr, and Phil Sr. as they mourn the loss of their brother and son. As Phil Sr. fights for his life, they must figure out how to take the next steps. Their concern should not be around how they will afford to take those steps.
