Joan Druckman Math Scholarship

Donation protected
Our Mom, Joan Druckman, served the West Windsor community as a math tutor for the past 50 years – yes, that’s Five – Zero years – since moving to West Windsor in 1971.

Over the years literally hundreds of students have benefited from her ability to break down and explain complex mathematical concepts in a way that even the most math-phobic student can understand. They have also benefitted from her ability to help others experience the joy of solving a challenging problem. She gave homebound tutoring to students who could not attend school in person for medical reasons. She also started a free, weekly SAT preparation class, where students could enjoy her delicious homemade cookies while improving their college choices.

To honor her contributions to the community and to her many students over the years, we have established The Joan Druckman Math Scholarship to recognize and reward students who have demonstrated outstanding skills and love of math and who intend to continue studying math in college.
