Joel Pratt Leukemia Medical Fund
Donation protected
Imagine waking up one day and discovering that everything about your life is going to change dramatically. All your dreams and goals seem to vanish and the future is uncertian at best with only the fainest glimmer of hope shining through the haze. That is what happended to Joel Pratt. I was recently visiting Joel and his wife MaryHelen in Missouri. MaryHelen and my wife Mia have been best friends since 3rd grade. Joel had been expierencing some health issues, so he had an appointment to have some bloodwork done. He seemed fine, he didn't feel ill, but he was concerned because his spleen was swollen. The next day he recieved a call from the doctors that would change his life. They told him that his white cell count was extremely high and that he needed to come in immeadiatly. The next day he was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia called Chronic Myeloid Leukemia.
Joel works as a truck driver, but with this condition he will no longer be able to work. His insuarance is provided through his job, so he may be left with no medical coverage. His wife MaryHelen has a full time job, but she may not be able to work as much while she is taking care of Joel. Any donations will be used to cover medical expenses and living expenses.
We are so thankful for any amount you would consider donating. Even if you are unable to give, please keep Joel and MaryHelen in your prayers as they face this unimaginable trial.
