Joey's Chicken Shack

Joey's Chicken Shack is a fast casual restaurant scheduled to open in early 2017.  The restaurant is a next step for the established food truck The Chicken Truck.  

The Chicken Truck was opened in May of 2013 as an inexpensive way for Joey and his family to start their own business.  The Chicken Truck was started on a shoe string budget and managed part time and then seasonally for three years.  Over the years there has been a continued growth in sales, and with this growth has come increased expenses and other obsticles.  This past spring Joey took a leap of faith and left his winter job to focus on building the business.

In July, Joey started the search for a brick and mortar location.  Through the following months many locations were explored, and some even negotiated on.  In early September a space in the Cedar Cliff Mall came to Joey's attention.  

This space had much of what was needed to get a restaurant going, but still required multiple renovations and equipment purchases.  Over two months there was much back and forth and eventually a lease agreement was made.

This new opportunity is the logical next step in what is a growing business.  This location will serve as a base of operations for The Chicken Truck as well as the flagship store for a growing brand.  

Although there is much excitement around the new storefront there are still many obsticals.  One of those obstacles is working capital.  The Chicken Truck has been able to provide some cash flow until now, but it is drastically dropping off due to the colder weather.
