About The Rising

This September,myself Niall Breslin and a team 10 will take on an epic fundraising challenge to raise vital funds and support A Lust For Life’s mission to ensure every child and young person in Ireland gets access to our early prevention mental health school’s programmes. A Lust For Life schools programmes teach children, from a young age, how to enhance and protect their mental health so they can mentally, emotionally and socially thrive.

As a team we will kayak 320 km down the River Shannon, followed by a 120 km cycle from Limerick to Killarney, and finishing with a climb up Carrauntoohil.

On 15th September 2024, the same day as the team climb Carrauntoohil, we are inviting the nation to Rise Up with A Lust For Life by taking on their own hike or walk… but that’s not the only way to Rise Up. You can also Rise Up by organising a fundraiser here.

You can support The Rising by organising your own fundraiser or fundraising event, with or for the young people in your life.A Lust for Life’s programmes are free of charge, but costly to produce. Your fundraiser will help us towards our goal of reaching every single child and young person in Ireland. The Rising is a journey of endurance and hope for Ireland’s young people. Rise up with A Lust for Life in 2024!
