John Mooney Memorial
Donation protected
In the early morning on February 20, 2019 we said goodbye to my father after a 9 month battle with cancer. Although we are all saddened by this, it is not without knowing that he fought valiantly to stay with us as long as he could through chemo, immunotherapy, radiation, and a stem cell transplant. It brings me peace to know that he and we did everything we could, that my stem cells were working, and that he will always carry a little peace of me with him forever. He was surrounded by friends and family in his last days, and was in the presence his family until he took his last breath.
We will be having a visitation on Sunday, the 24th from 2-5 at Elmer L Herman funeral home in Hazelwood. 5204 second Ave 15207.
Although this time is difficult for all that knew him, please try not feel sorry or sad. John Mooney was a strong man. Please try to find peace, as we have, in knowing that he fought until he couldn’t anymore and he is no longer suffering and can be at peace.
We love you Daddy, rest easy and say hi to Gram.
Our family is grateful for the condolences, but in lieu of flowers, we ask that all who wish to contribute make a donation to assist with the cost of medical bills.
