John Zander Medical Fund

John Zander needs our help.

On Oct. 20, John woke up with a debilitating headache,  describing it as if someone had smashed him in the back of the head with a baseball bat.

His wife, Dawn, drove him to the hospital emergency room where they discovered John had suffered a stroke. As of Oct. 23, he remains hospitalized at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Downey.

John is under heavy medication and experiencing vision issues. He has no depth perception and his eyes don't focus. Doctors don't know if this condition is permanent, but considering John works as a photographer, you can imagine the stress he is under.

Friends and family of John are raising money to support him during this difficult time. In addition to mounting medical bills, Dawn will have to take time off work to care for her husband.

Your donation will help support the Zander family, which is rich in love and compassion, but needs support monetarily.

John has proven himself to be one of Downey's most selfless citizens, volunteering with Gangs Out of Downey, Kiwanis, the Chamber of Commerce, and countless other organizations. Today he needs OUR help.

Let's allow John to focus on his recovery without the added burden of wondering how he will put food on the table.

Any donation is extremely appreciated. Thank you.
