Prayers for Jomari

UPDATE 12/3/2018 - New Photo by Tara Mapes
Hello Everyone as we head into the holiday season we are reminded daily how precious each day is with Jomari, family and friends. Jomari is finishing up his 30 rounds of radiation which started right after his Halloween Bash. We want to Thank Curtis Fuller with WLWT News 5 team for sharing with the world how awesome our superhero is. Jomari still takes on his treatments and doctor's visits everyday with a smile. Right now I'm going to speak as his grandmother and let you all know the pain(it hurts) I feel it everyday like a weight around my shoulders, but it can not in anyway compare to what my daughter is feeling and fighting with everyday. So I will continue to pray God's strength be in me and our family as we are going to have to lift her up and be her strength. We also have to focus on the care of his siblings who kind of took a back seat with Mom's schedule being so busy. But can you imagine the pain they will feel at losing their baby brother to this horrible disease. Donnie is currently working part time with FedEx to just try to make the ends meet somewhere in the middle and to have a few hours to herself to regroup. The money I put up as a goal is to help pay for Jomari's final expenses as there is no life insurance available, and to sustain the monthly bills as Donnie tackles the road ahead. For every kind word, for every prayer, every donation we thank you and pray God will continue to bless you as you have blessed this family.

Update 10/2/2018:
We as a family would like to Thank everyone that sent up prayer, a kind word, monetary help or if you wanted to give an were unable we truly thank you all. As you all know Jomari has been the strongest kid through out all the surgeries and treatments he is our super hero. It is with sadness in our hearts that we let you all know the doctor's at Cincinnati Children's Hospital have done everything medically possible and will try to continue to use any new options that come available. We have been informed that the cancer is growing rapidly and not responding to the current treatments to slow it down. After 5 surgeries, 30nrounds of radiation and 10 strong rounds of chemo we are now focusing on Jomari's quality of life and creating the best memories we can to carry us through until we see him again in heaven. We are currently looking to have the biggest Halloween Party we can for our Super Jomari we are inviting everyone to come out and join us in making our forever memory while he is still a happy, active and alert 6 year old. We are in need of community donations for t-shirts, decorations, tables & chairs, games, toys for a scavenger hunt, candy and other treats. We are looking to have this party on October 27th, 2018 3p-8p at McFarland Woods Park we have not finalized all the details and will keep everyone informed of the status as we get all the details etched in stone. Any and all donations at this time and during the party will go to Jomari's final care needs and to assist the family during the transitional phase. We thank you for every blessing please contact me by email at [email redacted] with any donations you would like to make to the party or to donate your time.

Update 8/26/2017:
The words no parent wants to hear " No Cure". We as a family must now look to the well being of Jomari. Jomari's 2nd surgery was yesterday and the doctors feel they may have gotten 80-90 % of the tumor out. They are waiting for some of the swelling to go down before they do another MRI. They are currently saying Jomari will have to undergo 30 rounds of radiation in the next 6 weeks. We have been informed the type of cancer is resistant to chemo and radiation therapy and immuno therapy is not used on this type of cancer. We are now looking for Jomari's Forever Home so that along with his mom and siblings they will have a clean and sterile environment. For everyone that has been able to contribute Thank You. I am asking that everyone that see's this post please share so we can make this a reality for Jomari and make sure that through this battle, this fight he is Happy.
Original story:
Jomari is currently 5 years old. He has been diagnosed with an Anaplastic Ependymoma which is a rare type of primary brain or spinal cord tumors. This cancer is very rare and Jomari is in grade 3 which means he has high grade faster growing tumors. We are praying that God heals Jomari and he is able to run and jump around as every 5 year old boy does. Jomari has a big smile that will melt your heart and is sweet and kind hearted. Jomari's parents and siblings are currently spending as much time as they possibly can with him as the family surrounds him and lifts him up in prayers. The money from this gofundme page will go to help with Jomari's medical bills and also help the family with living expenses. Finally any money raised will be used for when Jomari gets to come home. He will need new furniture that creates a clean sterile environment that will help promote his healing once he is home. Any amount donated will help and we thank you in advance. If you have any questions or want more information or want to help in another way, please contact Tina Lee via Tina-Gene Lee on facebook. Thank you again and God bless you!
