Road to Rio 2016

Olá! Hola! Hello! I hope this letter finds you well as I am excited to update you on a great opportunity I have before me. My name is Jose Luis Munoz Jr. and a dream of mine since I was young has been to make it to the Olympics. Back then, the dream was to be an Olympic Distance runner. I am proud to announce that I have been selected not as an athlete but a volunteer.
- I'M GOING TO RIO!!!
After completing the interview process, I have the opportunity to volunteer in the Summer Olympic Games in Rio. A Dream come true… well almost. I have been blessed with the opportunity to volunteer at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I will be volunteering at the USA Olympic House and providing the athletes with a serene and quiet environment for them to perform at their best. I have dreamed of volunteering for the Olympics and helping such a world wide event come alive.
From Rio Rico to Rio 2016.
The summer of 2016 - “a dream come true"
I have been saving, ever since I got the good news. I will still need your help... although this is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to connect with people from around the world, the USOC will not fund any of the trip. I will need about $4,000 to cover flights and hotel accommodations and make this dream come true. Here is a detailed list of what the cost will be:
Flight: ± $2,000
Housing: $1,500
Vaccines: about $200
Food: about $500
Travel Insurance: ± $200
My goal is to raise the money and book everything by June 1st. I will be eternally grateful for whatever I am given. If you wouldn't mind sharing this post with your friends I would greatly appreciate that too. Thank you!
I will keep you posted about all the changes and how far I have reached my goal! Join me on my adventure to Rio de Janeiro using #JoseMunozRio2016
Thank you all for partnering with me! I am hopeful we will manage all of this together and am eternally grateful even for reading this through the end.
