Jovi's Fund

On June 28th, Tailor brought Jovi to his normal 1 year check-up. He was supposed to get 6 shots and that was going to be the worst of it. However, he didn’t receive them. He didn’t get them because the doctor found a mass in his right abdomen that felt to be about the size of a softball. They were immediately sent to Rapides Regional for an ultrasound. On June 29th,  they were given the results. Jovi has  neuroblastoma (neuroblastoma is a very rare type of cancerous tumor that almost always affects children), the size of a softball in his abdomen. They were immediately sent to Shreveport for more tests, blood work, and answers. After more testing and several days in the hospital Jovi and his family were sent home to pack for St. Jude's in Memphis, TN where they'll have to remain and/or travel back and forth to for treatment over the course of a year. On Monday, July 9, Jovi will have his bone marrow tested along with other scans. Tuesday, doctors will surgically put a central line in his chest and keep it there for chemo. He will begin chemo Wednesday and do treatments every 3 weeks for a year.

As Chase and Tailor begin this new journey finances are the last thing these amazing parents need to worry about. Although they have not asked for a thing, we know when unforeseen health issues arise so does unplanned expenses and lost wages. No child should have to deal with cancer. No family should have to stress over finances because of this awful disease while watching their loved one suffer. This GoFundMe page has been set up for those who would like to financially contribute to his fight. Everyday expense will continue over the course of his treatment and hospitalization.  The hope is that this page rises to a level that will allow the Hoyt's to solely focus on Jovi's road to cancer free. 

We are STILL believing for a miracle. There is STILL hope.
