Endometriosis Excision Surgery

Donation protected
I'm Tiffany, a 21 year old student from England. I have a chronic, delibilating and excruciatingly painful gynaecological condition known as Endometriosis. There is no absolute cure for this condition, but there is treatment avaible that has increased the quality of life for 98% of the paitents that have recieved the treatment.

Sadly, this treatment is not funded by the NHS and is only preformed by a handful of surgeons in the U.K. this treatment is known as Total Pelvic Peritoneal Exicison This surgical procedure aims to reduce the recurrence and improve the outcomes of Endometriosis. The chance of Endometriosis returning after this proceduce is less than 5% in comparison to the NHS procedure where it's chance of returning is 30%-50%. Sadly, after 2 surgeries mine continues to return.

Endometriosis is a condition affecting the female reproductive oragns, though it can often be found anywhere within the pelvic cavity or further. The cells, endometrial cells, found outside of the uterus act in the same way as the ones found within the uterus - each month building up and having nowhere to break down or bleed out. Endometriosis is a very unknown condition, but a rather common condition affecting 1 in 10 women.

For me Endometriosis feels like I am being crushed. I feel as though a million tiny painful blister are all being irriated at once. Endometriosis makes me feel as though my body is being ripped apart from the inside out. Day-to-day life is a struggle and at the age of just 20 I am not living like any normal young adult should be. I am surviving, not living.

The reason this surgery means so much to not only me but my family is because this surgery could give me a new lease of life. This surgery could be the reason I have children, as Endometriosis causing fertility issues and even infertility. Not only could it give me the opportunity to become a parent, but I am hoping to pursue a career in the health sector. Though, with Endometriosis I am currently the one in constant need of medical help. This surgical procedure could be my only escape from this condition.

In order to raise funds for this myself and my close friends will be putting together a few fundraising events. But, if you would like to help and raise money please come and speak to me about putting on your own event.

I hate to ask others for help, especially money, but my situation is urgent, and I am left with no choice but to swallow my pride and ask for support and help from others. This surgery could help give me my quality of life back. Not only that but each year I leave it without bearing children I lose a percentage of my ability to. Any help is great help and so very appreciated. I would be eternall grateful to any donations made in honour of my cause.
