Sara's Medical Fund

Donation protected
December 7th 2017 Sara left us to be with Heavenly Father. I will never be able to thank everyone that has been by her side during this journey enough

Hey everyone! It’s almost been a year since Aunt Sara was diagnosed. This past year has been filled with obstacles that no family should have to experience. In the past month she has undergone several rounds of radiation and she now has to wear continuous oxygen. About two weeks ago, she was struggling to breathe and was taken to Carolina East medical center, they discovered there that a new mass had developed in her right lung. The right lung has three lobes, the mass was found in the upper low, which is compressing her second lobe. She was airlifted to Duke cancer center so they could see what interventions could be possible for her. Unfortunately, there are no other options for her and she was transferred to an inpatient hospice facility. They have now allowed her to come home to enjoy family. Due to hospital stays it has made it very difficult for her husband to be at work all the time. I have had several people ask where they could donate and this will be the best option. Whatever donations are made will go directly to Sara and Paul for living expenses and medical bills. Please continue to keep this family in your thoughts and prayers. We are forever grateful for those who have done anything to help the Webber family through this battle.

In addition, she would like to have an angel tree this year for Christmas. If you are able to donate an angel you can send it to her address 250 Mark McCoy Rd Cove City, NC 28523

Aunt Sara has had a total knee replacement as well as the part of her femur that had been eaten away. Her right kidney was removed and had an orange sized tumor attached to it. She continues to keep her positive spirit through all of the pain. Next step is radiation and chemotherapy. Thank you to all her prayer warriors for keeping her and the family in your prayers!

"Thank you to everyone has shown such kindness for my family and for me! The prayers, donations, the meals for my family. I have stage 4 renal cell carcinoma which is the medical terminology for kidney cancer. The left knee was never a torn meniscus, it is kidney cancer that attached to that part of the body. The tumor is out, the bad bone was removed so I now I have what I call the extra mile knee replacement, because the cancer had actually eat the bone away. I have had wonderful care here at Duke University Hospital. Thank you to everyone for everything! I am truly blessed beyond measure! I sit here in this hospital room and can ponder why, my answer for that is, we all need to slow down, look at the bigger picture. I am one busy woman, I work full time(after speaking with the stress management doctor appears to be stressful) running and managing a home, and I am constantly caring for others more than myself! I want to say thank you to my husband he has tried to make things better for me! My sister Susan who has her own health issues, my mom and dad who continue to assist with me as well. All of my children who I want them to know I love so much. My advice for all of this is we all are busy but slow down! Who cares if people like you,all that matters do you like you. I have missed home runs because I am occupied by other things. Life is too short, my lesson learned from this battle is be kind to others, stay positive, look for the bigger picture. Let your spouse know you love them. Hold your children, raise them to be kind to others now because everyone has a battle even children. Live, Love and be kind like there is no tomorrow! Once again thank you for all the prayers, kind words and donations for me and my family! I end this with I love my husband , my children(this includes my children's significanta$my parents, my siblings, my in laws, my nephews and neices, friends and all those who are walking around with a story because we all have one and if you don't just look for the bigger picture you will! Hugs and kisses from my hospital bed, one more thing a big thank you to my Heavenly Father who has given me the opportunity to stop, slow down, and love everyone. even the ones who I have transgressed against, I hope you can forgive, and the ones that have done transgressions against me I forgive! Life is too short, petty things ruin the simple things in life!" Aunt Sara posted this to her Facebook 12/13/2016

Update: After running tests, the results came back this morning and Sara has lung and kidney cancer. The tumors are only on one of her kidneys and she has tumors on both of her lungs. She has a very long road ahead and will need all the support and prayers she can get. If you have anything to give it is greatly appreciated. Paul works at E and J doing body work and Sara works at Republic Services. They are a hard working family and never ask others for help. They have a total of 5 children and 2 grandchildren. Sara will be in the hospital for Christmas more than likely. We will try to keep everyone updated.

Hello everyone! A few weeks ago my Aunt Sara messed up her knee. They believed this was a torn meniscus and were scheduling an MRI to further evaluate to schedule possible surgery. Early Thursday morning she fell on the damaged knee and was taken to CarolinaEast. They did an MRI and X-rays, which came back with something abnormal. The doctors believe she has a tumor that has attached to her femur and is "eating away" her bone. She has been transferred to Duke Regional with a treatment plan of a knee replacement and tumor removal. Sara works full time to help provide for her family. She is now out of work and we do not know for how long. If everyone could share this, donate, and keep the family in your prayers!

Thank you to those who have donated and shared this!
