Jenn has a BONE to Pick with CANCER

Donation protected
Jenn was diagnosed by doctors in the Syracuse, NY area with Breast Cancer on 4/14/16 and Stage IV Breast Cancer (that has spread to her bones) on 4/21/16.  She'd been in and out of doctor appointments for months with pain they thought was primarily associated with bursitis in her hip and a fall she took this past winter. Jenn had a mammogram in October, which was negative, but found a lump this winter and the process began soon thereafter...
We could go on and on about the whole process but that's personal and not really what's important here.

At only 41, Jenn has Stage IV Cancer. She also has two young daughters and a loving husband. Did I mention the staging was diagnosed on their 15 year wedding anniversary? If we've learned anything over the past two weeks, it's that cancer doesn't discriminate and it definitely doesn't care about anniversaries (*insert passive aggressiveness here*).

Jenn heads to Philadelphia tomorrow (5/1/16) as she's been accepted to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America for further evaluation and possible treatment. While her husband, Matt, will be by her side, they have to leave their two daughters at home because they're still in school and trying to keep things as normal as possible. Though they think their insurance will cover much of their medical expenses, this battle is still going to be very expensive for the family both financially and emotionally.

We ALL know Jenn is a total bad ass, and one of the strongest women most of us have probably ever met, but she's about to fight the biggest battle of her life and she can't do it alone. She has a great little family but she needs all the help she can get right now. We've created this GoFundMe to help take as much stress off the family as possible; they still have children to worry about at the end of the day.

Jenn and Matt have worked hard their entire lives to be where they're at and provide for their girls. They're both wonderful friends and have always been there for others in time of need- even if it's just for a Rasberry White Russian, Busch, and vent session (that's a need, right?). We've all laughed, joked, complained, and cried with them over the years and now they're the ones who need US to be there for THEM.

Cancer doesn't care.
It doesn't care about families. It doesn't care about how expensive it is to battle the devil. It doesn't care about the emotional scarring it leaves. It certainly doesn't care about good people. But, you know what? Cancer doesn't understand the concepts of hope, love, strength, peace, will, or togetherness. It's not made of any of those traits... It doesn't understand that HOPE is stronger than fear.

Jenn is ready to fight and so are we. It takes a village and that's what we plan to build. Hey cancer, we've got a bone to pick with you!!!
