11 years ago we opened the Family Fun Center in Wantagh. The center is equipped with video games, arcade games, an arts and crafts room and our wish room. Children who have cancer and other life threatening illness have parties here, for any occasion, at no cost. The children also get to choose gifts in our wish room, filled with toys, gifts and everything a child could ask for.
In June, our lease is coming to an end and we need to raise the funds necessary to extend the lease for three more years or sadly we will have to close the doors.
Over the past 11 years at the center, we have held our board meetings and meetings with parents, families and community members to work on and organize fundraisers for children who are sick. We also hold all our drives at the center, including our toy drive and school supply drive. The center has been a special place for so many volunteers throughout the years. Whether they are students fulfilling community service hours, families volunteering or employees of companies wanting to give back to the community, JTCF has always been proud to provide the opportunity and grateful for the support.
Besides what we offer at the center, we also provide wishes, help with medical expenses and so much more.
