"Every Kid Deserves a Bike"

We are looking to raise money to provide 800 kids in the Youngstown City School district bikes. Kids in our district often have trouble finding transportation to and from school. They also miss out on an abundance of after school activities because of simple transportation barriers. We are ranked among the bottom 1/5th in academic standings and having access to and from school is part of that issue. The Youngstown RedZone and City Kids Care can't do everything to solve all issues but I believe that helping to slowly solve the issue of transportation is something we can tackle. It's our hope and mission to outfit every kid in the area with their own bike but 800 is just a start. I found a supplier in China to purchase the bikes from for a wholesale price and it's my hope that everyone who reads this can give some sort of contribution to help this issue. Bikes provide a sense of independence and autonomy. They're also great for exercising and it allows kids to be kids. I hope I didn't bore everyone........ Just remember, you were a kid once. A bike is a BIG DEAL.
