“Let me love you a little more before you aren’t little anymore.”

The love parents have for their children is absolute. Never ending, unconditional and always forgiving. The moment you hold your child for the first time is a feeling that can’t be explained. All the hopes and dreams you have for them, your natural and parental instinct to always protect them. You become their guardian, confidant because “in the eyes of a child, mother is God.”

Our family was blessed April 5th 2009, Eric “Junnie” Escobedo Jr was born to my brother Eric and his wife Bill. He was a beautiful baby and was already surrounded by an abundance of love especially from his older siblings Adrian and Inez.

On Sunday March 17th 2019,  they experienced the worst possible hell that could ever happen. On their way home from the ER, a drunk driver hit them and ran off  leaving Bill badly injured and killed Junnie. He was only 9, had a full life ahead of him like all children should. He was just a moment in time, but all our hearts will never be whole again.

Bill is in critical condition, broken bones, ribs but fortunately doctors say she will make it. Eric is doing what a father and husband does. He is taking off of work to be there for his wife while she is recovering, being strong for his two other children all while breaking inside with the loss of his son. Junnie had a way of bringing light to any dark situation especially for Eric. We know Junnie is still doing so, just now from a heavenly distance.

We are asking for any donation please, to cover funeral costs for Junnie as well as helping with bills, food and keeping a roof over their heads since there is only one income right now and with Eric taking time off, times will be tougher. Bill will be getting the necessary surgeries and so fourth toward recovery and will need aid in medical expenses. Anything helps.

Also, please do not drink and drive. It always seems like it’ll never happen to you, but everything seems to always hit closer and closer to home. Love your children and never leave without telling them you love them every second you get.
