AMY'S BACKSTORY
(I know this isn't necessary, but most of you know that I don't speak about myself often)
I have older parents(b. 1936 & 1945). I was born in Bakersfield (1985) but raised in Kentucky not long after my infant sister passed away. Went to school and graduated high school. At the age of 19, my father had a heart attack and a quadruple bypass. At the age of 20, my mother had a severe stroke.
My father is now 80 years young but he taught me how to be a strong, independent person; my family never spoiled me. I've been employed since I was 16. Everything I have, I have worked my ass off for. I've done crappy, low-pay, labor intensive jobs to feed myself. Now married, my husband and I own our own business; in this economy, it isn't easy but we get by.
This campaign is for me, just because. Just because I want to feel special sometimes. Just because I work a lot and feel unappreciated often. Just because I drive a 17 year old car. Just because my husband and I couldn't do a honeymoon since we had to pay business and personal taxes instead.
And maybe, just because I want to see what happens. Thank you.
