The Francis family , the owners of the dog, have been very good friends of ours for over 20 years and they have suffered an unexpected tragedy of Meko's death, the family pet.  He was abused by a local Forsyth County pet groomer which resulted in his death. Felony charges have been filed against the abuser, but expenses are being incurred by the family.
The county of Forsyth has rallied around the cause of Meko's death and the way it happened. Unfortunately, the family is faced with the autopsy expenses performed by UGA necessary for evidence, to the cremation and/or burial of Meko. The funds will be used to pay for the autopsy, any medical bills incurred at the vet he was taken to and pronounced dead, Meko’s cremation or burial the family decides and any legal fees the family incurs due to the nature of Meko’s death.
There will be legal expenses that will stem from this tragedy that our community feels are necessary. Please give what you can to this cause and family.  Thank you for your heart felt donations and hug your own fur babies!!
