Justice for Anthony Myrie
Donation protected
On February 11th 2019, our lives changed forever. In the middle of Black History Month we received news that our loved one, Anthony “Trey” Myrie at only 24 years old became yet another victim to the system. We were informed by the families of other inmates that he died at Greene Correctional Facility. Today February 14th, marks the fourth day of Anthony’s death and finally discovering the location of his body. There are no records of what actually occurred, and the statements made on behalf of Greene Correctional Facility seem to be false. It appears, the correctional officers at the facility are responsible for his death, and are attempting to cover it up. Greene Correctional facility is notorious for mistreating inmates. On Valentines Day, Anthony’s wife and grandmother are distraught as they try to piece together half of a story about the death of Anthony Myrie. At this time, we call on members of the community to assist us in seeking justice, and hopefully garnering the truth. Unfortunately, Anthony‘s death is not only tragic and unexpected, but also a financial hardship. Our family is now in need of funds for funeral cost, casket, cemetery plot and all other related expenses. We appreciate and humbly request any donations of any amount, and if you are unable to contribute monetarily we’d appreciate if you spread Anthony’s story via social media #justicefortrey. We would hate to see this be another case of police brutality swept under the rug. If you are interested in helping us get justice please email: [email redacted]
