Katie's Wish
Donation protected
On Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019 our beloved sister, Aunt, and dearest of friends, Katie Lockwood suffered what we believe was a pulmonary embolism. Although countless first responders and medical staff of Cape Regional Medical Center and Penn Presbyterian Hospital worked tirelessly to revive our dear Katie, we had to let her go on Friday, January 4th, surrounded by family and friends.
The tears are endless as we try to move forward the way Katie would want. Katie’s life was a powerful force in our lives and the lives of so many others. We are so thankful for the outpouring of their love and support, so we are creating this page in order to allow all of those who knew her, loved her, laughed and cried with her, the opportunity to contribute to her funeral expenses, her burial stone, and most importantly, a memorial fund that will carry on her selfless acts of kindness in supporting those in need.
Each day it seems we hear of another story where Katie stepped in and offered her love and support to some person or some cause. How could we choose just one charity when Katie followed her heart and gave where she saw a need? The Lunch with Lynch Foundation has graciously established Katie’s Wish, a memorial to honor her last wish as expressed to John just before Christmas.
It is our hope that together, her family, friends and the Lunch with Lynch Foundation, will be able to continue Katie’s good works. Her light and her life shine through the cracks of every person shattered by her absence. We will take that light, honor her, help heal everyone who misses her and keep her wishes alive.
