Injured In The Line Of Duty

My name is Teresa Peterson. My husband Tracy and I are setting up this account to help my friend and mentor Sgt. Jake-Paul "JP" Gonzales. Sgt Gonzales is a Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy who was badly injured in a head-on collision while on duty. He sustained numerous injuries including a fractured skull, knee and hand and separated ribs. Sgt Gonzales has a long road ahead to recover from these injuries and has at least one surgery to endure.

He is a devoted husband and father of two children. His wife Loretta is a full time student who graduates in May. While Loretta is going school, the family is a one-income family and the holidays are here. In addition to the loss of income, just before the holidays, there is no way to determine how much insurance will cover and I expect, per the norm, it will not cover all the medical costs.

My goal is to try to get immediate financial relief to this family. I can only imagine the stress of not knowing how you are going to afford Christmas for your small children. I am asking for donations, so JP can focus on his recovery which is a full time job at this point. Myself, a Deputy and my husband, an Investigator, thanks the Law Enforcement Community and the Public for their support.
