As we celebrate the success of the Walk the Walk Community movement, we have decided to move forward in our nonprofit endeavors under our new name, Hu•MANE. This year we have partnered with The Paper Fig Foundation, which uses fine arts as an engine for economic empowerment and job creation in East Africa.
We will be on the ground in Kampala, Uganda from September 20-28th. We will be teaching a few introductory concepts in a local cosmetology school in Kasese. We will also be servicing youth in surrounding villages with haircuts and inspiration. Lastly, we have planned a day of collaborative education for the Kampala Fashion Week lead team by bringing some of our experience from behind the scenes at previous Fashion Weeks.

We believe that the power of education will help transform their community and with a bias for action, small changes lead to big impacts. We want to have that impact on the future of our cosmetolgy industry.

Your generous donation will help us educate and provide tools to oncoming Hairdressers.

Suggested levels of donation:
$1-250 1 hair kit for a student
$251-500 1 hair kit for 2 students
$500+ 1 hair kit for multiple students

Our goal is to provide 30 hair kits and necessities for the school, travel and incidentals for the team.
