Bring Michael Stewart home

Donation protected
On Wednesday, January 14, 2015 near Penwell, Texas just after 7:30 a.m.  a horrible accident occurred when a bus carrying prisoners slid off a bridge and collided with a train down the embankment. Two guards and eight prisoners were pronounced dead. One of the prisoners was Michael Shawn Stewart. Although he was described as an inmate he was also a son, grandson, brother, cousin and nephew. It’s easy for people to assume because he was in prison that he was a hardened criminal and the world might not feel his loss. Tell this to his mother, who held him in her arms as she rocked him to sleep, to his brother, with whom he had a bond, to his great grandmother that has already lost not only the “inmate’s” grandmother (her daughter in her 40’s) but also his father (her grandson that passed away in his 40’s) and to the countless other relatives that watched him grow up from a sweet boy to caring man. Did he make mistakes? Yes, he was arrested for theft and was determined to make it right once he was released. After all the tragedy and after the loss of such a caring soul at the age of 25 the mother, whom has been financially strapped since the death of her husband, is told she will get help with burial expenses but only if he is buried in Houston. Surely how much more could it be to have his body brought hundreds of miles closer and buried in the family plot where the rest of his relatives now are laid to rest? Please help his family by donating so he can buried alongside his father, grandmother and all of the Young family in Duffau Cemetary in Duffau, Texas. Any help is greatly appreciated. RIP, Shawn Shawn, you will be missed. God bless you all!!
