Help Kiersten Shideler Recover

As most of you who have found this page may already know, my sister, Kiersten Shideler, suffered grievous injuries during a robbery while she was working at the GameStop in Renton, Washington. Although we were all shocked when we heard the news, we were not at all surprised when we learned that, despite her injuries, she was strong enough to call 911 and stay calm until help could arrive. My sister is a strong, fierce, and passionate young woman who is beloved by her family and friends. She is a lover of dogs and cats, adores role-playing video games, is very sympathetic to issues and policy concerning social justice, and is an avid consumer of the popular Welcome to Night Vale podcast show.
While we have been trying to keep everyone updated on Kiersten’s progress, it was brought to our attention that many people commenting on news articles and Facebook updates were asking about a fund that they could contribute to in order to help financially support Kiersten’s recovery.
We have been deeply touched by the outpouring of moral support and we are so appreciative for all of the well-wishes, prayers, and positive thinking of all of you and we are so thankful for any additional support that you all may want to provide. Her doctors and nurses are making sure that Kiersten is going to fully recover from her injuries, but all of your support is going to go a long way in helping her after she gets home. Your generosity will help her with her bills, transportation, meals, and making sure that she gets all of the aftercare she needs to make a full recovery. Thank you all so much—there aren’t words to describe our gratitude.
