"For the last five years, I've been working toward a college degree. I've worked extremely hard to get where I am today. I am nearly at the finish line; I only have one semester to go. But there's one huge thing standing in my way of completing my college education: Money.
USF has informed me that because this is my ninth semester, they will not grant me the need-based scholarships that they have been for the last 8 semesters. I've asked for their help and they say there's nothing they can do. So it's time for me to ask my friends and family for help. I've never been the kind of person to ask for anything, but now's the best time to start.
I haven't given up. I'm applying for scholarships every day, but I don't know how much that will get me. I need help. Growing up, I always heard my mom say that it takes a village to raise a child. I need my village now more than ever."
