Kai's Dance Dream

This is Kai. My amazing, talented, dedicated and hard working dancer. Of course, as her mom, I should think all these things, but let me tell you a bit more about her story and hopefully you'll feel the same.




Kai doesn't just love dance, she lives it. She works in the studio 7 days a week, constantly striving to learn more and improve every single day. All of this while struggling with ADHD and anxiety. I've never seen her care so much about something and put 110% in as she does when she dances. She dreams of growing up to be a choreographer and owning her own dance studio one day. So this isn't just a hobby, this is her destiny.

So why the campaign? Well dance is very expensive, extremely so. And early in 2016 our life was flipped upside down. Her dad lost his job and my kids lost over half of their financial support. I am blessed to have a great job and currently also work with two direct sales companies trying to make ends meet, paying bills and supporting Kai and her younger brother.  But our safety net that was put in place at the beginning of our family upheaval has dwindled to nothing.

I can't support her dance dreams alone at this point while barely making ends meet, as much as I wish I could.

This has taken a lot for me to start this campaign because I'm usually the one helping and supporting others and rarely ask for help myself. 

But this isn't for me. This is for Kai and her future.

Anything you can spare to keep this child dancing would be incredibly appreciated. You don't know how much.

I can only hope that this setback is temporary and one day I will be able to return the blessing and pay it forward as I've done in the past.
