Kaitlyn Rose Bernhardt

As most of you already know,  our sweet Kaitlyn Rose lost her 2 year courageous battle with aggressive Osteosarcoma on June 15, 2018. She was a true warrior and she bravely battled this disease through leg surgery, lung surgeries and brain surgery, and many rounds of intense chemo and radiation. She spent most of the last two years in hospitals.  For those of you who didn't know Kaitlyn, she was an amazing young lady with the biggest heart who was such a special part of our community and loved by so many.  No parent should have watch their child suffer the way Kaitlyn did and lose their child to this horrific disease. The last two years have been emotionally and financially difficult for the Bernhardt family as both parents needed to take time off from work to take care of Kaitlyn. This family is very special to our neighborhood and we are asking our community to help in any way possible to help pay for their many medical expenses not covered by insurance and to ease their financial burden so the Bernhardt family can have time to grieve the loss of their daughter and sister.
