Donation protected
On May 15, a statue of Mary, which sat outside of St. John Kanty R.C. Church in Buffalo at corner of Broadway and Brownell, was pulled down off its marble foundation and smashed with a baseball bat.

From the article:
"Someone smashed a statue of Mary outside an East Side Catholic church on Tuesday, and left an anti-Catholic note beside the pieces of the statue, according to a Buffalo police report.
"This building will be destroyed," the handwritten note began. "Stop worshiping Mary. Worship God. Catholics are a man-made religion."
The church is raising funds for a replacement. This GoFundMe is set up to help support that effort by raising funds online for the St. John Kanty.
Here is a photo of statue before the incident occurred in the church's Mary Garden.
