Kara Cavanaugh's Debut Album

Hey everyone! I am thrilled to release my debut album!
It is nearly complete and now, I am looking for some help funding the final stages.
As an indepedent solo artist, this project has been a lot to take on without the help of a private investor or funding from record labels. Each individual donation will be a tremendous help to me. Every dollar counts no matter how small.
About Me:
In the Fall of 2015, I had the good fortune of meeting Packy Lundholm and Dan Moulder from performing in the Grateful Dead Tribute band Terrapin Flyer. There was instant chemistry and ideas began to spark as I introduced a few scraps of original songs that I had begun writing. Some of which I had written on my beat up old guitar sitting on my back porch with my dog in my first Chicago apartment on the west side. It was with their expertise that these songs grew to a level I hadn’t quite envisioned yet and taken a direction that blossomed into beautiful arrangements.
I couldn't be more proud of the way each song & unique arrangement has turned out. I can’t wait for the world to hear and feel the music that has taken me on this journey from a background singer in a Dead cover band to a solo artist. It’s a side of me the world has yet to discover and it’s with complete humility and honestly that I endeavor to share this journey with you and the world.
About the Album:
The album will include 11 original tracks produced by Packy Lundholm and Dan Moulder. Tracking was done at Rax Trax Recording in Chicago, IL engineered by Noam Wallenberg and at Fort Knox Studios in Chicago, IL engineered/produced by Packy Lundholm.
Musicians that have played on the album include:
Packy Lundholm, Dan Moulder, John Moulder, Kevin Campbell, Philip Roach, Rebecca Zimmerman, Randy Mollner, Theresa Brooks, Marty Gierczyk and of course, yours truly. :)
It is a vocal album with a mix of many different genres that include:
- pop
- R&B
- rock
- folk
- jazz/blues
- jam

-Final mixing & mastering
-CD printing & production
-Covering costs of studio time
-Album art
-Paying my producers & musicians
